The CAPETRUCK.
Freedom on 4 wheels

Self-sufficient systems for electricity, water, and heating enable long-term independence, self-sufficiency, and comfortable travel far from any infrastructure.

Tested in North America

10 weeks, no shore power, solar output at 40% in partial shade, recharging via the engine at about 10% per hour, wastewater adapter in the U.S.

Self-sufficiency without compromise

With a CAPETRUCK you will experience real freedom: Independent of external connections and always with Energy, heat and water versorgt. Dank modernster Technology und effizienter Systeme bleibt Comfort everywhere erhalten – ob in der Wüste, im Gebirge oder hoch im Norden. Der CAPETRUCK  beweist, dass Freedom on four wheels is not an empty promise. Sophisticated energy technology, efficient heat supply and generous water reserves make it one of the most self-sufficient Expedition vehicles up to 7.5 t.
Whether in Scandinavia in winter or in the Anatolian summer heat - with a CAPETRUCK you remain independent.

Full energy: even when the sun takes a break

Energy self-sufficiency

The 230V electrical power supply is based on 4 batteries with 165 Ah capacity each, supplemented by an efficiently operating Solar system. Even with only a low level of brightness, the energy reserve is sufficient for around a week of downtime. Without you needing shore power.
As the CAPETRUCK is normally moved regularly, the State of charge rarely below 50%. When driving, the engine and solar power reliably recharge the batteries. Even in permanently poor weather conditions, the Stable power supply - the systems run so efficiently that the light literally only goes out when you switch it off.

Water supply: Sufficient and cleverly thought out

Self-sufficiency in water

A 250-liter fresh water tank offers reserves for up to 2 weeks Use for 2 people. If you use drinking water sparingly, you can get by for much longer. For washing up, showering and personal hygiene the volume is usually completely sufficient. The incinerating toilet naturally requires no water. The outdoor shower - ideal for people and animals - is also Efficient in consumption. On my trip, around a third of the water remained after 3 weeks - impressive proof of real Independence and thriftiness.

Heating & hot water: Maximum efficiency, minimum consumption

Self-sufficiency Temperature

The diesel heater is powered by the 240-liter diesel tank. It requires only a small amount of fuel and a little electricity to reliably heat the cabin reliably. This really pays off, especially for an expedition vehicle that often travels in remote regions with few gas stations: The large tank supplies both the engine and the heater. And the heater’s low fuel consumption barely reduces the range.

Thanks to the excellent insulation, it stays pleasantly warm for a long time even in freezing temperatures . Without having to keep the heat running constantly. The heating system operates twice as efficiently: It uses the air to heat the domestic hot water at the same time. This means lower energy consumption and greater comfort—even when temperatures drop below freezing.

Gas requirement: Only for cooking & baking

Self-sufficiency gas

Gas is used in CAPETRUCK only required for the stove, oven and Cinderella Travel incinerating toilet. All other Systems work electrically or with diesel. Gas consumption is extremely low and Barely measurable. After three weeks of use, the 11 kg tank was only around 40 % empty. Thanks to the fixed LPG tank Refueling possible throughout Europe, only adapters are required.
